TerraCycle is an unbelievable recycling program that gives you every reason to grant your trash a second life. From corks to cell phones to candy wrappers to hummus containers, TerraCycle will take it and turn it into something (sort of) new and (possibly) shiny.

You can send it in the mail or drop it off at a collection site and raise money for your favorite organization. Turn that pile of corks into something other than a pile of corks, like a park bench or garbage can. The only thing that should be lying around in your home is unopened wine.
